Kris Carter

Executive Director

Kris Carter has made her career in servicing the elderly population of Utah.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development and Sociology from the University of Utah in 1991.  She worked as a Social Service worker and Marketer for several long term skilled facilities.  As the Director of Marketing, she opened Legacy House of Bountiful and later was the Executive Director for this Assisted Living Community.  In addition to this community, she ran the Legacy House of South Jordan.  She has served for 10 years on the Utah Assisted Living Association board and was President of the association.  In addition, she was the Executive Director for Legacy Retirement of South Jordan for 6 years.  She joined Aspire Hospice in July of 2010 as the Executive Director. Later, under her direction, Aspire became Joint Commission and Medicare certified to provide Home Health.  Aspire has been recognized for their quality of care with Kris Carter as their leader.

Dr. Steven Warren, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Warren’s work schedule includes full-time geriatrics in the nursing homes and assisted living as well as home visits in addition for hospice patients

  • 1975 MSCM University of Utah Health Education Public Health Community Medicine
  • 1984 Finished all the course work for a MS in exercise physiology
  • 1985 DPA George Washington University Doctor of Public Administration
  • 1981 MD George Washington University Medical degree
  • 2000, 2010 American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Wendi Snell RN

Director of Nurses

Wendi Snell, Director of Nursing for Aspire Home Health and Hospice, graduated from Weber State University with her Nursing degree as a RN. Wendi joined the Creekside Home Health and Hospice team in 1997. She joined Alpine Home Care’s team as a Case Manager in 2006 and Legacy House of Bountiful’s Management team as the Resident Care Coordinator in 2008-2009. Wendi joined Aspire Home Health and Hospice in December 2010 as a Case Manager and in a few short months became the Director of Nursing.


Linda Guernsey

Clinical Care Coordinator

Linda has been a Licensed Nurse since 1988 and has been with Aspire since 2010. She has experience in geriatrics and specializes in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. She has served in many charity events for the Utah Alzheimer’s Association and the Senior Veterans of Utah.
